Handi Chandra Putra, PhD, is an affiliated researcher of the Rutgers Center for Green Building. He recently earned his Ph.D. in Planning and Public Policy from the Bloustein School, where his research focused on social behavior simulation by combining planning and policy perspectives and artificial intelligence approach. He is a consultant at the World Bank Group, in the capacity of Urban Planning and Design Specialist, and was a Product Development Engineer prior coming to Rutgers. He has published peer-reviewed articles and reports in the research areas of urban resilience, urban complexity, spatial data infrastructure, green building, and industrial ecology. He has served as a reviewer for journal publications that are relevant to his expertise. He also holds a BA in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, a MS in Technology from Texas State University, a MCRP from Rutgers University.
