Jennifer Ward Souder, MLA, LEED AP BD+C, provides research, writing and project management services for the Rutgers Center for Green Building. While serving as the Director of Capital Projects at the Queens Botanical Garden for over a decade, Ms. Souder was responsible for guiding the development of the Visitor Center from planning to operations, the first public building in NYC to earn LEED Platinum certification. Ms. Souder consults on a variety of green building and sustainable sites projects. She has served on the Pace University Green Roof Advisory Panel, the jury for the NYC Green Building Design Competition and has been a member of the planning committee for the NJ ASLA Annual Conference since 2010. She earned both a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Science from the School of Natural Resources and Environment, University of Michigan.
